Spinning rooms, harsh bright lights, pounding pain on one side of your head and nausea; some of the many symptoms of migraines. I remember as a little girl, laying on the couch with a cold, wet wash cloth over my forehead crying and crying because I was in so much pain. It sometimes seemed to last for days. For most of us our children have either already started school or are gearing up to start with in the next few weeks. Are you ready to leave summer behind and head into fall? I absolutely love this time of year. Shrek: Forever After by Activision

My household is full of video game geeks....including myself. We've been so excited with the opening of the newest Shrek movie - Forever After. This seems to be the best one yet! We had a great time at our house party and thank everyone for coming out. Now for those who could not make it out, we would like to use this opportunity to let you in on the fun as well!!

As soon as we received this game the kids went crazy and of course just had to play it right then and there. How could I say no? I too was anxious to play, but had to wait my turn, I let the kids go first.... You can choose who you would like to play as, changing through out the game as you want to or need to. Each character has it's own set of special moves. This is an adventure game, my favorite type of game. The game got some laughs along the way from the kids from the sounds some of the characters make.

My youngest son's out take on the game -

"I like changing characters and fighting the bad guys. It's cool when I can use Shrek to push objects around and Fiona to blow things up. I like how the cat climbs on the wall and can drop the box on somebody - it's funny! I like how our whole family can play together. I think there is a bit too much talking and there should be a way to skip it after the first time."

Ever since I was a little girl I have been a big fan of Disney. I feel so lucky to live near Disneyland and have the opportunity to go when ever we want as well as even work there! Disney is so magical and every time I take my own children there you can just see the glow they get from being there. You may be asking yourself who is Reeds Inc.? Reeds Incorporated is the maker of Virgil's Root Beer, a popular old fashioned soda. Back in the old days they did not have all the modern machinery they have today to make soft drinks. Reeds keeps the old traditions with fresh ingredients and natural brewing methods. Reeds is also environmentally friendly, packaging their brews in recycled bottles. Original Ginger Brew was their first creation and is a Jamaican recipe for homemade ginger ale. Today, they now have six flavors that will get your taste buds moving!! Virgil's is more their "soda" line where they have their famous Root Beer, along with other flavors such as Orange Cream Soda, Black Cherry Cream Soda, and a few other yummy flavors. I think the Black Cherry Soda was my favorite!

I have to say, if you are a regular soda drinker and drink the name brands on a regular basis like we do, Virgil's will take some time to acquire the taste. Little girls are princesses of their own, aren't they. From very young they pretend to dress up in gowns, tutu's and pretend they are the royal queen of the family. She is right between a 4T and 5T, so I went with a 5T and it was a bit big, but it was easy to make smaller and will be something that she will not grow out of quickly. Labor Day is almost here and what better way than to roll out the grill for some grilled chicken. Our family loves to grill, we use the grill year round. It's a great alternative to cooking up the heat indoors. There is always something about grilled food that taste's better too. Also there is no messy clean up or dishes to do. El Pollo Loco, the Nation's flame-grilled chicken leader is sharing tips to grilling the perfect chicken. Want the inside scoop on how El Pollo Loco prepares it's fresh, natural, citrus-marinated, flame grilled chicken? Here are five tips courtesy of El Pollo Loco to get that perfect grilled chicken every time.

Invest in a meat thermometer - place the thermometer where the leg and thigh come together, make sure it does not touch the bone
Cook over a low to medium flame, cooking at the highest temperature without flaring up
During grilling turn the chicken three times. First turn it when the skin begins to lose moisture, second turn it when the juices start to pool, and third turn it when the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees
For BBQ sauce, baste before and after the last turn
The chicken is done when the internal temperatures reach 180 degrees
